Euthanized in buffered MS-222. Brain serotonin levels in low, medium, and high fluoxitine treatments decreased as exposure time increased with maximum depression occurring on day 9 (3 days post exposure). Seratonin levels were depressed 23.7% by day 9. 5-HIAA levels were significantly depressed as a result of fluoxetine exposure in all treatment groups.
