Comments:
Inhalation experiment. Each fish was spinally transected, fitted with a uninary catheter and cannulated from the dorsal aorta. A latex membrane was sewn around the fish's mouth to separate inspired and expired water. A second membrane just posterior to the pectoral fins prevented dilution of expired water. Fish were allowed to recover 24-48 hrs before the start of the experiment. DCA concentration (mean n=4) = 4.40
