Authors:
Udomkusonsri P, Arthitvong S, Klangkaew N, Kusucharit N
Drug:
Enrofloxacin
Fish species:
Carp, common (koi)
Date:
2007
t1/2-hr:

Sample:
blood, plasma
Ave Weight (gm):
78
Ave Water temp (°C):
28
Water:
Freshwater
Dosage:
10 mg/kg sd
Route:
IP
Comments:
Fish were sedated with clove oil (10mg/L). Cmax = 37mg/L, Tmax = 1.0h, AUC = 798mg/h/L, MRT = 21. Mean enrofloxacin concentration in plasma at time points (mg/L): 0h=0.00, 0.25h=29, 0.5h=26, 1h=37, 2h=27, 8h=25, 24h=13, 48h=3, 72h=1, 96=0.6. The authors claim that plasma drug concentrations were above MIC for most fish bacterial pathogens, making this an effective dose.
