                  USES: For the prevention of GASTRIC ULCERS in horses.
                  When given once daily during the stressful period, OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE has been shown to effectively prevent stomach ulcers in horses.


         
            
               
               
               ACTIVE INGREDIENT
               
                  Active ingredient: Omeprazole 2.28 g.
                  The structured strength is represented as 0.37 g omeprazole per 1 g of paste, based on the labeled 2.28 g active ingredient in a 6.15 g syringe.

               DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
               
                  DOSAGE: The minimum recommended dosage is 1 mg/kg per day (0.45 mg/lb), which is 1/4 syringe for a 1,200 lb (545 kg) horse, given once daily during the stressful period.
                  DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
                  Set the syringe for the correct dose by turning the dial ring to your horse's weight marking.
Remove the cap from the tip of the syringe.
Insert the syringe tip into the horse's mouth at the space between the front and back teeth.
Push the plunger as far as it will go, depositing the paste on the back of the tongue.
Raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing.
Replace the cap after each use.
               
               
            

         
         
            
               
               
               INFORMATION FOR HORSE OWNERS
               
                  INFORMATION FOR HORSE OWNERS: OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE is intended for use in healthy horses. If you notice any signs of illness prior to or during the use of this product, consult your veterinarian for appropriate diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
                  OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE may be used in horses that weigh at least 600 lbs. The effectiveness of OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE in the prevention of gastric ulcers in foals and weanlings has not been evaluated.
                  OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE may be used safely in breeding stallions. Safety in pregnant mares has not been determined.
                  One daily administration of OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE is recommended in horses exposed to stressful conditions which may include: training, racing, showing, traveling, stall confinement, and competition.
                  OZIPCO OMEPRAZOLE is intended for use only in the prevention of gastric ulcers in healthy horses. Clinical signs of gastric ulcers may include: decreased appetite, recurrent colic, intermittent loose stools or diarrhea, poor hair coat, poor body condition or poor performance. These signs may also be associated with other diseases as well as existing gastric ulcers. If your horse is exhibiting one or more of these signs, consult your veterinarian for diagnosis and treatment.
