It was reported that air bubbles were identified in the patient line of an amia cassette. The patient was connected at the time of the alarm. This occurred during initial drain of peritoneal dialysis therapy.During troubleshooting, there was nothing unusual found that would cause or contribute to the air; all connections were properly tightened before the start of therapy, the patient line was verified to be fully primed before connecting, and no cut/slice/leak/hole was found on any of the supplies.Renal therapy services (rts) assisted the patient in ending the therapy and advised to start over with the new supplies.Rts reviewed proper procedures per the user manual with the patient. There was no patient injury or medical intervention associated with this event. No additional information is available.
