Event Description
|
It was reported that this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) exhibited diaphragm stimulation through the left ventricular (lv) lead and an increase in lv pace impedance measurements, measuring between 1600-2000 ohms, which triggered the device to beep to notify the patient to reach out to their following clinic. The device beeped as the programmed lv beep range measurements were set to 2000 ohms. The normal impedance range for this lv lead is 200-3000 ohms.Technical services was consulted and recommended troubleshooting and programming recommendations. The patient was brought into the clinic and reprogramming was performed. The lv measurements were within range. The device remains in service. No adverse patient effects were reported.
