Event Description
|
On (b)(6) 2020, during a craniotomy for a hematoma removal, the perforator failed to disengage during the perforation of the 8th burrhole.There was no problem from 1st to 7th perforations.The perforator stopped at the plastic sleeve.It was planned to make 8th holes, so the perforator was removed, and the procedure was continued.The event led to 30 minute surgical delay with no consequences for the patient.There was no damage on dura mater because the placed perforator was on the hematoma.The patient recovered.Eg1 drill system was used with the perforator.
