It was reported that the patient presented in clinic for an atrial noninvasive pacing study (nips) procedure to terminate atrial flutter.During interrogation, it was noted that the device could be interrogated with the wand successfully until initiating the nips, which would make the telemetry fail. The test was unable to be performed. The physician decided to perform a cardioversion instead as it was determined the frequency of the left ventricular assist device was interrupting the telemetry and no further troubleshooting could be done. The patient was in stable condition.
