It was reported that a balloon rupture occurred.The 99% stenosed target lesion was located in a moderately tortuous and moderately calcified artery.A 4.00mm/1.5cm/140cm small peripheral cutting balloon was selected for use.During procedure, the target lesion did not dilate on the first dilation, so it was moved a little.Then, at second inflation, it was noted that the balloon ruptured immediately at 4atm.It seemed that there was a pinpoint calcification.Furthermore, there was visible pinhole noted on the device.The device was removed from the patient's body and the procedure was completed with a non boston scientific device.No patient complications were reported and patient's condition was good post procedure.
