It was reported that, during the pulse generator (pg) replacement due to normal battery depletion (nbd), the left ventricular (lv) lead had a bend where the lead exited the pg.Upon further review it was noted that the outer insulation on this lv lead showed some deterioration at the point of the bend.Insulation damage was seen, and the physician decided to fix the insulation damage with a repair kit, which is considered off label-use.The lv lead measurements were stable and there was no evidence of noise.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.This lv lead remains in service.
