The following was reported to gore: on (b)(6) 2020, a patient underwent endovascular procedure to treat a venous anastomosis stenosis of an arteriovenous graft previously implanted in the left upper arm.A gore® viabahn® endoprosthesis with heparin bioactive surface (viabahn device) was placed in the basilic vein to treat the stenosis. The patient tolerated the procedure. On (b)(6) 2020, shunt occlusion including the endoprosthesis was observed. On the same day, a re-intervention was performed to treat the occluded endoprosthesis. However, during the procedure, the patient developed respiratory failure immediately after the use of contrast medium and it was diagnosed as contrast medium allergy. The shunt including the viabahn device was discontinued and shifted to a central venous catheter.Further information has been requested but has not been made available at this time.
