Event Description
It was reported that when the patient has the ins turned on, the ins affects the stimulation of their legs and results in balance problems. The patient stated that they reported this to their healthcare provider (hcp) and noted that the hcp "tried to reduce the amount related to the legs, but it also reduces the amount to the hands" (the patient explained that the dbs therapy helps control their hand tremor). The patient stated that the issue with their legs/balance has gotten progressively worse and their hcp's efforts had very little effect in controlling the leg problem.Additional information was received from the consumer reporting that they have experienced stimulation in their legs since the first time the stimulator was turned on.They have discussed the problem with the neurologist several times and adjustments have been made with little effect. With failure to resolve the issue, they only use the stimulator for eating and computer use.
