Event Description
|
Additional information was received from a manufacturer representative (rep) reporting that impedances were rechecked because tremor returned and all 4 contacts were now open. The patient is not receiving therapy at this time. The patient denies any falls or trauma to the device.X-ray showed that the lead is fractured just above the extension connection. It appears that the lead/extension connection area slid down the neck over time, which could be the cause of the lead fracture. The patient will be scheduled for a lead replacement in the near future.
