Event Description
|
The cpc (colder products company) connector is a component that provides the interface between the driver drivelines and the tah-t cannula.The customer, a syncardia authorized distributor, reported that patient's right driveline could not detach due to a displaced cpc connector spring.There was no reported adverse patient impact.The customer also reported that the patient was subsequently switched to a backup driver.

Visual inspection of the driver side cpc connector did not reveal a displaced spring.The spring was intact and in place.Visual inspection of the tah-t side cpc connector could not be performed because it was not returned with the driver.The root cause of the customer-reported issue of the patient's right driveline not able to be detached could not be conclusively determined.This issue will be tracked and trended as part of the customer complaint process.Syncardia has completed its investigation and is closing this file.Ce 5600 (b)(4) follow-up report 1.
