Manufacturer Narrative
A field service engineering (fse) was at the customer's site to address reported event.Fse confirmed the complaint by reviewing the error logs and reproduced error by running rack rotation.Fse inspected the timing position of the x1 flag and found it was not properly aligned.Fse aligned the x1 sensor flag within specification and successfully performed a rack rotation test without any errors.Fse also performed a daily check and quality control run without errors and within acceptable range. No further action required by field service. The aia-900 analyzer is functioning as expected.A 13-month complaint history review and service history review through aware date of event for similar complaints was performed for serial number (b)(4).There were no other similar complaints found during the searched period. The aia-900 operator's manual under section 12: flags and error messages states the following: [2300] s.Loader step feed failure cause: the pitch sensor (b)(4) failed to go on after the step feed.Action: check to see if there is any impediment to the sample rack feed.If the trouble reoccurs, contact the tosoh local representatives.Check (b)(4) and the step feed mechanism. The most probable cause of the reported event is due to misaligned x1 sample loader.
