Event Description
|
Patient was treated with venaseal occlusion device to treat a lesion in the great saphenous vein (gsv).Lumen was flushed prior to use.Ifu was followed.A guidewire was used for the insertion of a catheter.It was reported that possible allergic reaction that progressed from leg to trunk. patient experienced rash and was seen 6 days post implant.At that time, oral steroids, oral h2 blockers, oral antihistamines were prescribed with follow up in 1 week. patient returned to clinic 8 days post implant, completed prescribed therapy and legs were feeling better; symptoms were relieved. patient returned to clinic 19 days post implant with rash noted on chest, back, inguinal region, and on legs. restarted oral steroids, oral h2 blockers, oral antihistamines for another week; will follow up on or about 1 week later.No further patient injury reported.
