|
It was reported that the patient's percept pc was explanted and replaced with an activa pc since it wasn't responding after a defibrillation.It was considered a life saving action.

Additional information was received from a manufacturer representative reporting that the energy used in the defibrillation procedure was 1x 200j.The defibrillation paddles were placed at the apex - sternum 1.30 cm medially from the implantable neurostimulator (ins) in the right subclavicular area 2.20cm latero distal to the ins.The location of the patient's ins in the body is the left subclavicular area.The brand/model of the defibrillation device used was lojepack 20, medtronic.The reason for defibrillation was ventricular tachycardia during surgery from myxom.The patient's stimulation was off during defibrillation.The patient was currently receiving therapy from the new ins.
