Event Description
It was reported that the patient was sleeping and when he woke up could move his thumb and say some words but the caller indicated that the patient is in a catatonic state.Tech services had the caller connect the recharger to the implanted neurostimulator which indicated that the implant was fully charged and therapy was off.The caller then connected the patient controller to the implant and turned stimulation on.The caller indicated that the patient got a jolt when stim was turned on and the patient was in some distress after having stim turned back on.The patient reported to the caller that they were feeling better. the issue was not resolved through troubleshooting.  tech services reviewed information about therapy and that they should follow-up with the neurologist if the patient continues to experience any therapy problems.
