This event has been recorded by zimmer biomet under (b)(4).Telephone number: (b)(4).Review of the most recent repair record determined the corroded motor was slowing down and warming up, the reciprocating arm was damaged, the needle bearing was worn, the control bar was thin, and the unit was out of calibration.The motor, reciprocating arm, needle bearing, shaft bearings, sleeve bearings and control bear were replaced and the unit was recalibrated to resolve the reported issue.Review of the device history record identified no deviations or anomalies during manufacturing.Review of complaint history identified additional similar complaints for the reported item and part and lot combination.Complaints are monitored through monthly complaint review in order to identify potential adverse trends.It was noted the device has not been returned regularly for recommended annual pm.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental report will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
