> the device associated with this report was returned for examination.Visual examination of the returned device and photo evidence reviewed exhibited that the spring of the slide tube disassembled, making the device unable to lock on mating device.The reported condition was confirmed.There was not observed any breakage condition at the device.Depuy synthes considers the investigation closed at this time.Should additional information be received, the information will be reviewed and the investigation may be re-opened as necessary.Device history lot
