It was reported that the stent was partially deployed and difficult to reconstrained. The 90% stenosed target lesion was located in the moderately tortuous internal carotid artery.A 10.0-24 carotid wallstent was advanced for treatment.Halfway during deployment, positioning was performed. The stent was tried to be retracted once to change the placement location, but it was noticed that it was very hard to retract the stent. So, the stent was retracted with the tip slightly extended without fully retracting it.Eventually, the device was removed. The stent was tried to be retracted outside the patient's body, and it was able to retract somehow, but it was too hard. The procedure was completed with another of same device. There were no patient complications nor injuries reported.
