It was reported that on (b)(6) 2022 the patient presented after experiencing a non-st elevation myocardial infarction (nstemi) and a 3x18mm xience skypoint drug eluting stent (des) was implanted.On (b)(6) 2022 the patient was re-hospitalized due to a cerebral infarction.On (b)(6) 2022 the patient was re-hospitalized a second time with hypotension.The patient did not receive treatment.There was no adverse patient sequela or clinically significant delay.No additional information was provided.
 
Manufacturer Narrative
The device was not returned for analysis.A review of the lot history record revealed no manufacturing nonconformities that would have contributed to this complaint.The reported patient effects of cerebrovascular accident and hypotension are listed in the xience skypoint everolimus eluting coronary stent systems instructions for use (ifu) as known patient effects of coronary stenting procedures.A conclusive cause for the reported patient effect(s), and the relationship to the product, if any, cannot be determined; however, the subsequent treatment appears to be related to the operational context of the procedure.There is no indication of a product quality issue with respect to manufacture, design, or labeling.
