|
It was reported that at the start of use the black catch that moves the knives back and forth was loose, and the dermatome was not functioning properly.A new leg skin had to be taken as the initial graft was damaged.A few minute delay occurred, and another device was used to complete procedure.No additional patient consequences were reported as a result of this malfunction.

The results of the investigation are as follows: review of the most recent repair record determined the blade movement was loose due to a broken neck pin and damaged back cover.Additionally, all the neck screws were broken off and stuck into the housing.The neck and neck screws were replaced.Review of the device history records identified no deviations or anomalies during manufacturing.A definitive root cause cannot be determined.The event is confirmed.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
