|
During preventive maintenance by a field service technician this bio-console instrument had a battery indicator in red and battery alarm low.The voltage measurement of the battery was below 12.75v so the batteries must be replaced.It was also found that the level sensor had a fault.This was detected during service so there was no patient involvement, so no adverse effect occurred.Medtronic received information stating that new batteries were installed before the expiration date.
