Event Description
|
A venaseal procedure was performed for venous insufficiency in april or may 2022.It is reported that the catheter insertion site was infected or really irritated, an ongoing issue that treating physician was not clear how to manage.Patient was fine for a few weeks after initial onset.The catheter insertion site began to swell and treating physician told them to take ibuprofen, swelling went down, and then came back worse.The treating physician then prescribed antibiotic for a week (unsuccessful treatment).Patient was advised to wait a few weeks to see if it resolves on its own ¿ unsuccessfully.The patient presented to er with this complaint per treating physician¿s office recommendations (b)(6) 2022.The patient was prescribed ¿another¿ antibiotic at er visit.
