Event Description
It was reported the patient presented with picture of chronic infection to the left hip with presence of gluteal fistula secreting purulent material.It was therefore necessary to perform prosthetic removal of all components, with femoral osteotomy sec.Due diligence is in progress for this complaint; to date no additional information or product has been received.

This follow-up report is being submitted to relay additional information.The following sections were updated/corrected updated: b4, b5, g3, h2, h3, h6 h6: component code: mechanical (g04) - stem reported event was unable to be confirmed due to limited information received from the customer.Device history record (dhr) review was unable to be performed as the lot number of the device involved in the event is unknown.Root cause was unable to be determined as the necessary information to adequately investigate the reported event was not provided.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
