This is filed to report an air embolism requiring intervention.It was reported that on (b)(6) 2022, a mitraclip procedure was performed for a functional mitral regurgitation (mr) with grade of 3-4.The steerable guide catheter (sgc) was prepared as per instructions for use (ifu).While inserting the sgc and forwarding it towards the septum an air bubble was noted in the left atrium.The sgc was inserted into the left atrium and the air bubble was aspirated via the sgc and visibly retracted into a syringe.The procedure was continued with two implanted clips, reducing mr to grade 1.There was no clinically significant delay in the procedure and no adverse patient sequelae.No additional information was provided.
