Event Description
It was reported that the unit is not powering on.It looks like its burnt where the power cable connects to unit.The event did not occur during surgery.There was no patient involvement or harm.Attempts to obtain additional information have been made; however, no more information is available at this time.

(b)(4).Customer has indicated that the product will not be returned to zimmer biomet for investigation.The investigation is in process.Once the investigation has been completed, a follow-up mdr will be submitted.

This follow-up is being submitted to relay additional information.Updated: b4, b5, d4, g3, g6, h1, h2, h3, h4, h6, and h10 the event is confirmed.Review of the most recent repair record determined the unit was confirmed to not power on.The power inlet module had melted slightly and there were no signs of burning smoke or charring.The power inlet module was replaced and resolved the reported issue.The root cause of the reported issue is attributed to the time the high flow valve is left open is too short during the pump start up sequence.If any further information is which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
