Event Description
It was reported that a vasospasm occurred.A sentinel cerebral protection system (cps) was selected for use during a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (tavr) procedure.A.014 non-boston scientific (bsc) guidewire was positioned.The sentinel cerebral protection system (cps) was hard to place into the ascending aorta.The manipulation of the sentinel cps caused the radial artery to spasm.The sentinel cps was unable to be advanced and also was difficult to remove from the patient.The patient was given vasodilators.The physician elected to proceed with the tavr procedure without sentinel cps.No patient complications were reported.
