Event Description
|
According to the reporter, during use, a cardiac arrest patient was being intubated when the screen on the device went black.The device could be turned back on, but would only stay on for a few seconds prior to going black again.It would not stay long enough for an intubation attempt.A second device was used with the same issue that occurred.The battery had well over 100 minutes left on the timer.The patient was intubated on subsequent attempts via manual visualization.The patient died, but was not related to the device failure.
