Event Description
|
It was reported that the patient is having difficulty charging their right implantable neurostimulator (ins).The patient would charge every other day, and they found that the first charge would take 1 hour, and then the next time they would charge, would take 2 hours to fully charge, and that cycle had been repeating and started maybe 2 months ago.The caller stated they had 2 rechargers ((b)(4) & (b)(4)), and they tried both rechargers, and the same issue occurred.The patient states that they use carpet tape to stick the antenna to their chest, and they got full coupling bars all of the time.The caller inquired about what could be causing this duration issue.Patient services reviewed, advised the patient to keep a log of their charging sessions.The patient was redirected to their healthcare provider to further address this issue.No symptoms were reported.

Additional information received from the healthcare provider (hcp) reported there was no explanation for the observed differences in charging time with impedances all within normal limits.Nothing was done to resolve the issue, but the hcp may reach out to the manufacturer.
