This event has been recorded by zimmer biomet under (b)(4).Review of the most recent repair record identified the following related repair: the tech confirmed the unit would not function and attributed the sound of air leaking to a stuck bearing inside the neck of the unit.Once the neck was removed, the rpms were found to be out of specification on the low end.The control bar was out of position, and the unit was out of calibration at the 0, 10, and 20 readings.Tech replaced the motor, fine adjustment cam, spring seal, needle bearing, and swivel o-ring.The control bar was repositioned.The unit was tested, calibrated, and returned to the customer.Review of the device history record identified no deviations or anomalies during manufacturing.A definitive root cause cannot be determined.The event is confirmed.If any further information is found which would change or alter any conclusions or information, a supplemental report will be filed accordingly.Zimmer biomet will continue to monitor for trends.
