Medtronic received information via literature regarding endoscopic approach for aortic valve surgery. all data were retrospectively collected from october 2017 through december 2020. the study population included 266 patients who were predominantly male with a mean age of 72 years. multiple manufacturer¿s devices were implanted in the study population; 4 patients were implanted with a medtronic avalus bioprosthetic valve. among all patients, adverse events included: bleeding requiring transfusion, arrhythmia requiring permanent pacemaker implant, tamponade, cerebral vascular accident (cva), transient ischemic attack (tia), and paravalvular leak (pvl). based on the available information medtronic product may have been associated with the adverse events. no additional adverse patient effects or product performance issues were reported.
