|
According to the reporter, during a laparoscopy, the blood vessel was clipped twice to the nerve center and once to the peripheral region, but it came off and bleeding occurred.The bleeding site was unknown, so moved to laparotomy and hemostasis was performed to resolve the issue.

Event Description

According to the reporter, during a laparoscopic lleocecal resection, the blood vessel was clipped twice to the nerve center and once to the peripheral region, but it came off and fell into the patient's cavity.Bleeding occurred of more than 500 cc.It was noted that the patient had enriched red blood cells and fresh frozen plasma of 6 units each.Surgery was extended by 30 minutes or more.The bleeding site was unknown, so moved to laparotomy and hemostasis was performed with suturing to resolve the issue.The patient was hospitalized.
