Other, other text: h3 and h6 conclusion codes: updated.Device evaluation: one device was returned for investigation.Upon visual inspection a cracked enclosure, bent prongs on line cord, missing plate clip, outdated printed circuit board (pcb) and outdated power switch were noted.The complaint was confirmed when the device leaked near the drain fitting and would not heat during functional testing.A crack in the enclosure caused the leak and a faulty heater will not heat the water in the reservoir.A manufacturing device history report (dhr) review was not performed because the device is beyond a year from its manufacture date of 2004 and there was no indication of a manufacturing defect during the investigation.Service history review identified this device has not been in for service previously.It was determined the water leak from cracked tank near the drain tube fitting was caused from wear of usage.The heater failure was caused from wear of age.The device was manufactured in 2004 and had not been in for service prior to being returned for this complaint.No action taken due to the age and condition of the device.It is deemed beyond economical repair and will be scrapped.
