Event Description
|
It was reported that a physician used venaseal adhesive to treat the great saphenous vein (gsv), short saphenous vein (ssv) and posterior accessory great saphenous vein (pagsv) were treated on the 3 different days.The ifu was followed.Transducer compression was used, and the veins closed.The next day the patient returned for a post-op scan and presented with a rash all over the body.The patient had the rash prior to treatment also.The physician did not believe the rash was as a result of the venaseal treatment.The patient went to urgent care 4 days post index due to itching and rash all over the body.Patient was prescribed prednisone and the rash resolved 6 days post index.No further patient injury reported for this event.
