Event Description
It was reported that during an unknown procedure, most of the staples fell off.Bile leakage and bleeding occured intraoperative.Devices are available for return.No patient harm was reported.

(b)(4).Date sent: 5/3/2023.D4: batch # x96a90.Investigation summary: the product was returned to ethicon for evaluation.Visual inspection and functional testing were conducted on the returned device.Visual analysis of the returned sample revealed that the er320 device was returned inside it's original packaging with no apparent damage.The device was tested for functionality.During the analysis, the device was functional tested, and it fed, retained and formed the remaining 20 clip as intended.The event described could not be confirmed as the device performed without any difficulties noted.As part of ethicon¿s quality process, all devices are manufactured, inspected, and released to approved specifications.A manufacturing record evaluation was performed for the finished device batch number, and no non-conformances were identified.
