Event Description
|
It was reported that it was impossible to finalize interrogation of the implantable neurostimulator (ins) with the clinical tablet.It ran from 0% to 35% and stopped to show error code 17022ae8.Another clinical tablet was used and it showed error code 245d2395.It was impossible to interrogate with the patient programmer (pp).Interrogation and recharge worked normally with the recharger. there was no factor that may have led or contributed to the issue.No troubleshooting nor actions taken was possible because of the inability to communicate.The issue was not resolved.Refer to manufacturer report #3004209178-2023-05016 for related device.

Additional information was received: it was reported that due to the severity of the symptoms the physician didn¿t plan other actions on devices.The next step would be to attempt a general anesthesia to try to reset device with the recharger as technical services suggest.Intervention is not planned at this time.

Additional information was received: it was reported that the issue was not resolved at this time but next troubleshooting was planned.The physician, in accordance with patient, planned to reset neuromodulator with n¿vision programmer.Due to the vital risk of stopping therapy they planned to do it under general anesthesia.If reset is not efficient they will replace neurostimulator in the same time.It is planned on (b)(6).

Additional information was received: it was reported that they did a last chance option consisting of ins interrogation with a clinical programmer connected to the communicator by cable (not standard bluetooth connection).This option worked and communication became possible.The ins was therefore not replaced and the issue was resolved.
