Event Description
|
It was reported that after use with bd vacutainer® urine collection cups the nurse obtained needle stick injury to finger.Labs were completed for patient and employee.Customer stated results were all negative to their knowledge and no impact to patient or employee.The following information was provided by the initial reporter: customer stated nurse had a needlestick injury with bd urine collection cups at the ed.Nurse was inserting vacutainer and slipped her left index finger in the sharp needle on top of the urine cup.
