Event Description
It was reported that a patient with bilateral dbs system was implanted since 20 years ago.On (b)(6), they are going to have an extension replacement with a different model so that they are able to remove the pocket adapter which was annoying for the patient.This way, they would be able to connect the extensions directly to the implantable neurostimulator (ins).

Event Description
Additional information was received from the manufacturer representative (rep) reporting that generally, this case was not a complaint from the customer.They contacted the rep to ask some technical questions regarding the system compatibility.As the implanted devices were very old so they wanted to check if the new extensions are compatible with old leads and how they can remove the pocket adapter to make the system smaller for patient convenience.

Event Description
Additional information was received reporting the healthcare provider was not able to save the system, so they had to remove it completely.Thus, the hcp did not use any of the parts.They do not have access to the explanted devices and there is no additional information.
