|
Medtronic received a report that the vessel could not be recanalized after multiple attempts of thrombectomy.The patient was hospitalized from (b)(6) 2023 to (b)(6) 2022.The event recovered/resolved with sequelae.The investigator assessed the event as not related to the study procedure, the solitaire stent retriever, react aspiration catheter, or an underlying condition or disease, but possibly related to the disease under study as vessel occlusion that could not be recanalized is related to the disease.However, the sponsor assessed the event as possibly related to the index procedure and disease under study as the event occurred during procedure.

Additional information received reported that non-contrast computed tomography (ct) and site indicated that it is normal, there is no special findings.There is no treatment performed to treat this ae.Final post-procedure modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction (mtici) score: 0; procedural success using study device: no.Baseline: nihss score is 17.Modified rankin scale score is 0.On (b)(6) 2022, nihss score is 17 and modified rankin scale score is 4.It was noted that the ae didn't lead to hospitalization.

Additionalinformation received reported that the sponsor assessment of relatedness to study procedure as not related.What is the rationale for relating the ae to the system or procedure: site stated the vessel was occluded to start with and did not occur during the procedure.The occlusion could not be open after the thrombectomy attempt.Hence it is not related to the procedure.
