Event Description
It was reported that an intraocular lens (iol) had a haptic stuck on the optic.The surgeon was unable to detach the haptics of the lens.The lens was in the eye of the patient.Through follow up it was learned that the iol was removed and replaced during the same surgery.There was no surgical intervention done outside of the standard of care.The patient is doing well post-surgery.The lens was discarded.No other information was provided.
