Event Description
|
Medtronic received information regarding a navigation device being used outside of a procedure.It was reported that while selecting patient this morning the system became unresponsive on the images task when switching from one scan to another on the same patient.The system hung with the loading icon displayed for about 4 minutes before a hard reboot resolved.There was no patient involved. additional information indicated there was continued issues in the third case of the day.The system continues to be intermittently unresponsive and is also having issues with instrument trackers.

Additional information was received.It was reported that the event occurred pre-operatively in a functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess) in which there was there was patient involvement.It was reported that there was no delay to the procedure and there was no impact to patient outcome.
