Event Description
Literature was reviewed regarding a modified buddy-wire technique during transseptal mitral valve-in-valve or valve-in-ring procedures.Of the 12 cases included in the study, one case (patient 10) pertained to a patient previously implanted with a medtronic hancock ii mitral bioprosthetic valve.Between five and nine years after hancock ii implant, this patient underwent valve-in-valve replacement with a non-medtronic sapien 3 transcatheter valve for regurgitation.No additional adverse effects pertaining to medtronic products were noted.
