Event Description
|
Medtronic received information that during the implant of this 20mm aortic mechanical valve, it was explanted and replaced with a valve of the same size and model.The reason for the replacement was reported as a stuck leaflet.It was stated that one valve leaflet was not flexible.After readjusting the position of the valve, the valve leaflet was still inflexible.It was reported that leaflet motion was tested with the blue actuator during the implant procedure.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.
