Event Description
|
Venaseal was used for treatment of the great saphenous vein (gsv).Local anesthesia and hand compression was used and the vein was reported to be closed.The ifu was followed.A guidewire was used.The lumen was flushed prior to use.The patient was discharged and returned 4 days later due to pain and erythema in the distal third of the left thigh and 8 days after surgery presented pain and erythema in the distal third of the right thigh and localized pain on the inner side of the thigh, both legs.The patient received treatment with antihistamines, antibiotics and steroids.Reported clinical improvement.The patient reportedly was being treated with different antibiotics for another condition unrelated to the chronic venous insufficiency and also reported topical allergies without further details.
