It was reported that this patient with this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) experienced ventricular tachycardia (vt).Anti-tachycardia pacing (atp) was provided which accelerated the rhythm.After the first shock was provided this patient went into cardiac arrest.The rhythm became flat and fine and undersenisng occurred throughout the ending of the episode.The final seventh shock successfully converted the rhythm.Technical services (ts) noted there had been too much atp provided and this patient spent too much time in vt.This crt-d remains in service.No adverse patient effects were reported.
