Event Description
|
According to the reporter, during an open coronary artery bypass graft, on ligating harvested vein prior to using it in the patient, the clip scissored and tore the vein.The vein leaked when the surgeon tested.The patient experienced temporary injury and tissue damage as a result of the event.The surgeon used suture to repair the tear.
