It was reported that the patient with this cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator (crt-d) experienced a ventricular arrhythmia.It took 4 electric shocks to convert the rhythm.It was noted that during the implant procedure of this device, the defibrillation threshold (dft) test was not successful.The physician opted to perform a new dft test which was successful at 31j.Shock impedance measurements obtained were within range.No additional adverse patient effects were reported.At this time, this device remains in service.
