Event Description
During the index procedure one venaseal closure system was used to treat a lesion located in the great saphenous vein 1.Approximately 1 month post procedure the patient suffered from dermatitis.The patient reported a right shin itch and foot fever.These symptoms started from the 30 day visit and continued.It was stated that there is a possibility that these symptoms are related to allergic reactions.A duplex ultrasound (dus) was performed which was clinically significant.Test results indicated right distal great saphenous reflux.Foam sclerotherapy was performed to treat the event.The patient was also prescribed anti histamine medication.It was stated that the event is related to target limb/vein - the great saphenous vein 1.The patient had not recovered at the time of study exit.The patient completed the study.The sponsor commented that the adjudicative event was hypersensitivity to venaseal adhesive.
